Lucy the Lurcher

These photos come from the walk with my Aunt on her morning walks with the dogs and friends around Godalming Surrey, the dog in the picture is Lucy the Lurcher, a totally loony dog of a breed I've never seen before. The Lurchers are a gypsy breed, not recognised by the kennel clubs, and consisting of EITHER a greyhound or whippet mixed with some kind of terrier. The mixture creates a jack-in-the-box sprinbok of a dog, the likes of which I've never seen before. Lucy's owner Linda was a devoted lurcher fan, and keen for them to remain the characteristic 'wild cards' of the dog breeds.
